Don't step on pins!

Mom was sitting on the living room floor doing something she calls "pinning" the pieces of fabric.  She puts these little things into the squares to hold them together.  Then she uses the machine, and then takes the "pins" out.  I don't quite understand what's happening, but when she's done with all that, the squares are attached to each other.  That's not important anyway.  Like I said, mom was sitting in the floor with a container of those little things she calls pins.  She was leaning against the couch and had the container of pins beside her. I went and jumped up on the couch, because I'm not allowed to snuggle when she works on the quilt.  I stepped on her container of pins (sometimes I'm not good at knowing where my feet are). Mom yelled at me like I did something wrong, I don't know why.  I always lay on the couch.  I yipped like a little puppy and just layed on the couch.  I don't know why mom was so upset, it was my foot that got hurt.  Mom wouldn't leave me alone though. She pulled each of my feet out from under me to look at them. I had three pins stuck to the foot that must have stepped on her container of pins.  She pulled them out.  That hurt a little but then my foot started to feel better.  I don't like those pins, mom shouldn't keep mean things like that around the house. What happens if they try to hurt me again?
